The centerpiece of this summer was the festive event celebrating the one hundred and first anniversary of Goldbach Kirchner raumconcepte GmbH. As announced at the time, the proceeds from the open day were rounded up and donated to the following recipients:
- Geiselbach Volunteer Fire Brigade – purpose: children and youth work
- Animal welfare association Aschaffenburg – purpose: animal food and cat litter
- Friedensdorf International – purpose: care of the Friedensdorf protégés in the home area
- Förderkreis Hospiz Kinzigtal – purpose: various projects of the support group
The hospice had invited the management Sven Kirchner and Judith Rückert, as well as the employees Annette Kress and Sarah Randolt, to get information about the facility and its special field of activity. This gave them a deep and lasting impression of the hospice's work. It was their first visit to a hospice and they were impressed by the light-flooded, friendly atmosphere and the modern rooms in the large listed sandstone building in the old town of Gelnhausen.
