Innovation Factory 2.0, Heilbronn

Agile working in a sustainable wooden building

The Innovation Factory 2.0 (IFH) plays a central role within StartupCity Heilbronn by providing tailor-made premises and shared work areas for startups and innovative founders. Both established creative agencies and IT specialists value the inspiring working environment among like-minded people. Developed by the renowned architectural firm Waechter + Waechter from Darmstadt, an impressive wood-hybrid building rises on the banks of the Neckar in the Wohlgelegen future park.

Resource-saving wooden construction

Built by the Swiss timber construction company Blumer Lehmann, the innovative building offers a working environment for around 280 workplaces. The modern operating concept in plug-and-play style creates optimal conditions for startups, creatives and agile working. Various workplace options such as coworking desks, "private offices" and a large office unit are available at an "all-inclusive price". All you have to bring is your own laptop or PC. In addition to the flexible work areas, there are communal and stylish lounge areas, coffee corners, meeting boxes, meeting rooms and a startup workshop. In the neighboring WTZ tower, a wide variety of lunch options are also offered from Monday to Friday. The interior design was designed in colors that match the wooden construction. Partition systems and glass doors from Goldbach Kirchner were used, in particular the T35 system with double glazing. The filigree glass frames are in RAL 1013 pearl white, harmoniously matching the load-bearing wooden construction.

Sustainability and environmental protection

Thanks to the materials used, which can be separated, reused and recycled, the partition wall system used makes a significant contribution to environmental protection and resource conservation. It meets all the criteria for DGNB and LEED certification of buildings, which increases the sustainability of construction projects.
