Construction of a new logistics and handling centre

Modern facilities, a generous allotment of space and universal accessibility to work processes

Haulage contractor Homtrans is an international logistics company and part of the Rieck Logistics Group. The new-build project at Kavelstorf near Rostock provides 10,500 square metres of warehouse space and office space for around 100 employees. Room planning focused on modern facilities, a generous allotment of space and universal accessibility to work processes. The access point for the drivers is the Issue Desk on the ground floor. This consists of counter cupboards with lockable sliding doors. Office space and conference rooms are equipped with doorway combination elements with glass side panels and transom lights. All-glass smoke control doors were installed for separating fire lobbies.

The office sections are separated by partition cupboards with integrated pneumatic tube conveyor units. The superstructure is based on an S10 aluminium skeleton storage wall system. If work processes need to be re-structured, the versatile wall system can be repositioned without loss of material or creating dirt and soiling.

The reception desk/sliding window system features a smooth exterior, while the interior is designed as an open shelving system. All partition wall and storage wall systems used guarantee a high level of flexibility and sustainability.
