On 10 February 2017, the 2017 German Design Award was presented in a ceremony at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt am Main

The prize is awarded annually by the German Design Council. Goldbach Kirchner raumconcepte received the 2017 German Design Award Special in the ‘Excellent Product Design – Office Furniture’ category. The award was presented for the Qi-Pad product. With its silky surface, the Qi-Pad is set flush into the desk, where it supplies smartphones with power by inductive charging.

The Qi-Pad was designed and developed in order to make our desks and standard furniture more attractive. This effectively differentiates our product from the competition. Design ‘Made in Germany’ The jury’s verdict on the product from Goldbach Kirchner: a practical solution and a further step towards a world without cables.

Thanks to modern Qi technology, smartphones can now be charged directly at your desk or the conference table – simply, easily and wirelessly!

The Qi-Pad is fitted flush with the surface of office furniture. The phone is simply placed on this pad and charged wirelessly by means of electromagnetic induction.

The pad’s velvety surface, with a soft-touch coating in black or silver not only adds a touch of visual luxury but is also very soft and pleasant to the touch. Another option is to style the Qi-Pad with the customer’s own logo.

The German Design Award is a coveted international prize awarded by the German Design Council and one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions.
